Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Architect/Architectural Designer to join the Industrial Center of our Property and Buildings team. This role supports Boise, Minneapolis, or Atlanta offices with design, analysis, and documentation across public and private sector projects.

You will contribute to planning, concept design, construction documentation, and implementation, working with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver durable, sustainable building solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of post-education architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of architectural principles and design processes.
• Experience with design, construction management, and drawing standards.
• Ability to plan, execute, and document projects with coordination across disciplines.
• Familiarity with sustainability, building codes, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings showing exterior and interior appearance and structure.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Produce design documentation, renderings, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers across projects.
• Contribute to proposals and presentations with technical data and visuals.
• Lead and mentor junior team members and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Maintain current knowledge of architectural techniques and practices.
