Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Lead Architect / Architectural Designer to join our Industrial Center within the Property and Buildings team. The role can be based in Boise, Minneapolis, or Atlanta, collaborating with engineers, architects, and project managers on planning, concept design, and construction documentation.

You will produce design documents, renderings, and construction techniques while ensuring compliance with safety, structural integrity, and occupancy requirements across public and private

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.
• 7 to 10 years of post-education experience.
• Proficient knowledge of architectural principles and regulations.
• Experience with building planning, design standards, and construction management.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, REVIT, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings showing both external and internal appearance and structure of building projects.
• Develop building construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates; coordinate with owners and subsconsultants.
• Create data and visualizations for design proposals, drawings, and construction documentation.
• Ensure designs meet safety, occupancy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers on multiple projects.
