Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Architect / Architectural Designer to join the Industrial Center within the Property and Buildings team. This role supports planning, concept design, and construction documentation across multiple projects in Boise, Minneapolis, or Atlanta.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and managers to deliver sustainable building solutions for public and private sector clients, developing drawings, renderings, and construction documentation to meet standards of quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent required.
• 5–7 years of post-education experience in architecture.
• Proficient knowledge of architectural principles and practices.
• Experience with building planning, design, and construction management.
• Strong visual, technical drawing, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of sustainability and code/compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate with disciplines.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings showing exterior and interior building appearance and structure.
• Collect and analyze data from sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS, and environmental data.
• Perform professional architectural work and assess site conditions for conformance.
• Develop construction plans, specs, and cost estimates coordinating with owners and consultants.
• Incorporate advanced modeling techniques and design requirements for occupant safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and managers across multiple projects.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level architects.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to address design and construction issues.
