Job summary

TKDA in Duluth, MN is seeking a Senior Architectural Designer to lead design documentation efforts on corporate, industrial, educational, and governmental projects. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers, guiding design through concept to construction and coordinating design and construction documents.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive architectural experience, including leadership of design and construction document development for complex building projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading the development and coordination of design and construction document packages.
• Experience producing construction documents and construction sets using industry-standard software.
• Strong understanding of building systems, wall assemblies, construction detailing, building codes, and construction methods.
• Experience supporting construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and assisting during construction.
• Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience mentoring, directing, and delegating work to junior-level staff.
• Familiarity with drawing quality control (QC) processes and document review procedures.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; experience with SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Corporate, industrial, educational, or government project experience preferred.
