Job summary

TKDA, a 100% employee-owned multidisciplinary firm, seeks an experienced Senior Architectural Designer to lead design documentation for corporate, industrial, educational, and government projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects and engineers to coordinate design and construction documents from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive architectural experience including leadership of design and construction document development for complex building projects.
• Experience leading the development and coordination of design and construction document packages.
• Experience producing construction documents and construction sets using industry-standard software.
• Strong understanding of building systems, wall assemblies, construction detailing, building codes, and construction methods.
• Experience mentoring, directing, and delegating work to junior-level staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead design documentation efforts through concept to construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Develop and review construction documents and support quality control.
• Mentor junior staff and guide projects through all design phases.
• Support construction administration activities; respond to RFIs and submittals.
