Job summary

NewGround in Chicago leads architectural design and construction documentation for financial, healthcare and corporate clients. The Senior Architectural Specialist will prepare working drawings, coordinate with architects and executives, and lead project design meetings while supporting BIM across the studio.

Requirements include an architectural license (NCARB preferred), 10 years of commercial experience, and LEED/WELL credentials preferred. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Architectural license required and NCARB preferred.
• 10 years of professional experience in commercial architecture.
• WELL AP and LEED credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings for projects.
• Coordinate with Design Architect and executives on project delivery.
• Lead project design meetings and coordinate with AHJs.
• Support BIM across the studio and manage BIM tools.
• Mentor junior staff with Director of Production.
• Assist in permit process and contract changes.
