Northworks Architects & Planners in Chicago, IL is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate design and construction phases across hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects. You will translate design direction into coordinated documentation, maintain schedules, and ensure quality while collaborating with architects, directors, and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in architecture.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensure not required; firm supports test taking for licensure.
• Proficiency in Revit; strong 3D visualization and rendering skills.
• Experience with Enscape, Lumion, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, codes, and documentation standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with design quality and technical excellence.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Availability to work full-time on-site in Chicago, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects across all phases, from schematic design through construction administration.
• Work with Lead Architects, Directors, and Partners to implement design intent and goals.
• Manage project schedules, consultant coordination, and internal team workflow.
• Contribute to production including drafting, modeling, detailing, redlines, and drawing sets.
• Oversee development, organization, and QC of construction documents.
• Lead coordination meetings and maintain client/consultant communication.
• Participate in construction administration activities (RFIs, submittals, site visits).
• Mentor junior staff and support firm documentation and detailing standards.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management as needed.
