Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a design-focused architect to join a multi-disciplinary team across our St. Louis, Dallas, or Houston offices. You will work under licensed leadership to deliver architectural design from concept through construction, collaborating with interior designers and specialists to meet client goals.

The role requires a strong portfolio, US registration preference, and experience with Revit and real-time rendering tools. Travel and overtime may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or related field required; accredited program preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of related professional experience.
• Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong creative design portfolio is essential.
• Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
• Additional 3D modeling experience in Rhino or other comparable software preferred.
• Experience with real-time rendering and 3D rendering software such as Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or V-Ray required, as demonstrated through a portfolio.
• Some experience in computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently and with others contribute conceptual design and provide full architectural design support throughout project.
• Incorporate business and communication objectives in strategic design solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and present selective design ideas to clients.
• Prepare client presentation materials and 2D/3D visualizations.
• Design projects to meet budget and owner parameters.
• Collaborate with interior designers and topic experts on holistic design solutions.
• Identify and resolve project-related issues.
• Mentor junior team members and foster collaboration, experimentation, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
• Perform overtime work and travel, including site visits if appropriate.
• May perform other responsibilities as needed.
