Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a design-focused architect to join a multi-disciplinary team in one of our offices (St. Louis, Dallas, or Houston). The role involves conceptual design, visualization, and collaboration with leadership under licensed oversight.

With a requirement of 6+ years’ experience and a strong portfolio, the candidate will work on projects from concept through detail, coordinating with interior designers and specialists, including client meetings and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Minimum 6 years of related professional experience.
• Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong design portfolio is essential.
• Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• 3D modeling with Rhino or similar software preferred.
• Experience with real-time rendering tools such as Enscape, Twinmotion, or V-Ray.
• Some experience with Grasshopper and Dynamo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently and with others contribute conceptual design and provide full architectural design support.
• Incorporate business and communication objectives in strategic design solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and present design ideas to clients.
• Prepare client presentation materials, including 2D and 3D visualizations.
• Design projects to meet budget and owner parameters.
• Collaborate with interior designers and subject matter experts on holistic design solutions.
• Identify and resolve project-related issues and provide mentorship to juniors.
• Perform overtime and travel including site visits as appropriate.
• May perform other responsibilities as needed.
