BHDP Architecture seeks a Senior Architect to lead technical delivery across complex projects, aligning design intent with buildable solutions. The role emphasizes coordination, documentation, and risk management, with mentoring of junior staff and adherence to BHDP standards.

Qualifications

• NAAB-accredited B.Arch degree preferred.
• Licensed Architect with active credentials.
• 12+ years in design/architecture industry.

Responsibilities

• Provides project-specific technical leadership by setting clear expectations, assigning ownership, and driving follow-through on high-risk decisions and deliverables.
• Serves as the primary project technical expert and risk steward, ensuring decisions are documented and implemented with BHDP standards.
• Leads and enforces QA/QC at key milestones by setting team expectations and resolving critical comments before issuance.
• Assigns owners and due dates, drives follow-through to closure, and communicates risks, options, and impacts to PM and client.
• Delivers high-quality technical solutions efficiently by standardizing repeatable approaches on high-risk interfaces.
• Reduces redesign/rework and protects fee and schedule through coordination and early issue resolution.
• Develops Architects and Designers through coaching with real-time feedback and documented goals.
• Creates reusable learning assets to improve quality and reduce repeat errors.
• Ensures team compliance with BHDP delivery platforms and digital standards (Revit, templates) for clearer coordination and QA/QC.
• Prevents workflow and tool breakdowns from causing delays or surprises for clients.
