Qualifications

  • A valid New York State Registration as an Architect.
  • At least one year within the last three years as a major contributor or project leader on a complex project.
  • Registration must be maintained for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all difficult architectural work for managing the Agency’s construction program.
  • Develop project scope and preliminary cost estimates.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Review contracts for scope compliance and plans prepared by consultants or in-house staff.
  • Coordinate with staff and consultants from conception to completion.
  • Prepare sketches and layouts; research building materials for capital programs.
  • Participate in substantial completion inspections and create punch lists.
  • Sign and seal documents; interpret Building Code and Zoning Resolution for non-technical staff.
