The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings, seeks an Architect to serve as a special assistant and coordinator for the Architecture Unit. The position involves developing guidelines, tracking tools, and onboarding materials to improve workflow and consistency across work product.

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings seeks an Architect. The selected candidate will serve as a special assistant and coordinator for the Architecture Unit, and assist with development and maintenance of guidelines, tracking tools, onboarding tools etc. to enhance consistency of unit workflow and work product; the development and maintenance of internal and external presentation tools and outreach materials; the research, development and implementation of technical standards, frameworks, toolkits, and other best practices to foster consistency and incorporate emerging best practices, learning, and innovation; and other high-level professional assistance as needed. The Architect may also assist in project scoping, scheduling, design review tasks resolving project issues, site visits, and reports.

ARCHITECT - 21215
Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of full-time experience as a project team member on several projects (small to medium-sized). In addition, candidates should possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Experience with sustainable design concepts and LEED requirements, NYC Building Codes, and Energy codes is preferred. BIM and AutoCAD proficiency and LEED AP are preferred.
