Job summary

Archinect in Bergen County, NJ is seeking a Registered Architect / Architectural Project Manager to lead projects from planning through construction administration. The role focuses on retail, office, higher education, aviation, transportation, and infrastructure work with complex code requirements.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of U.S. experience under a licensed architect, strong leadership, and a background in coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture
• NY and/or NJ Architectural Registration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning and schematic design through construction administration
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal design teams
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
• Conduct site surveys and field investigations
• Review building, zoning, and accessibility code requirements
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and correspondence
• Assist with staffing projections and fee proposals
• Prepare client presentations for meetings and boards
• Perform accessibility compliance reviews (ADA and related standards)
