BB&E Consulting Engineers and Professionals in Norfolk, VA, is seeking a Senior Architect to support NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic (MIDLANT) under the A&AS contract. The role covers planning, design, and delivery of a broad range of Navy facilities, including housing, medical, education, and admin buildings.

You will lead architectural development from programming to drawings, perform site visits, ensure code compliance, and participate in proposals.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Licensed Architect (RA) is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program.
• Knowledge of DoD/Navy guide specifications, UFC, and applicable codes.
• 10+ years of professional architectural facilities design experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, and proposal support skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural support for Navy, Marine Corps, and other commands on MILCON and renovation projects.
• Collaborate with disciplines to ensure system coordination and design integration.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of third-party designs and cost estimates.
• Develop designs from programming through drawings, analyses, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Assist with proposals and business development with leadership and staff.
