Job summary

CRB is seeking a Lead Architect to coordinate design across disciplines on complex projects, with responsibility for construction documentation and oversight. The role is onsite in Atlanta, GA with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and mentoring responsibilities for teammates.

Qualified candidates will have an Accredited Architecture degree, a current architectural license (NCARB preferred), 10+ years of experience including space planning, and proven ability to lead multi-firm

Qualifications

• Accredited Architecture degree (B.Arch/M.Arch/D.Arch) or international equivalent.
• Architectural license in good standing plus NCARB or ability to obtain.
• 10+ years of professional experience with 3+ years in strategic, master, or space planning or programming.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on projects with ability to execute all phases of design, including programming, planning, concept development, detailed design and construction administration
• Develop and generate studies, presentations and reports, and present to internal or external audiences.
• Generate complex code analyses, life safety and egress plans, floor plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules and specifications for large projects of advanced complexity with no oversight
• Lead support for construction activities such as ensuring coordinated and constructible designs, RFI responses, submittal reviews, progress reports, and assist PMs as needed for resource, budget, and scope definition
• Conduct quality checking of documents for complex projects and drive overall project quality.
• Identify and resolve complex code, construction or design related challenges, contribute during drawing reviews, quality checks, and overall act as Architect of Record for project assignments
