Job summary

Barge Design Solutions seeks an experienced architect to design and document technical solutions across a discipline or market area. This role manages discipline-specific project documentation and provides expert design guidance on architecture challenges.

The candidate will support project management as a technical leader on large projects, review documents for quality, and foster strong client relationships while aligning with company values and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years architectural experience.
• Architect Registration required.
• Extensive knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning, building codes, and building materials.
• Strong negotiating skills with code officials, clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Design and documentation of technical solutions for a specific discipline or market practice area.
• Manage and maintain project documentation for the discipline or practice area.
• Provide significant technical design expertise in research and development of solutions to architecture and other technical challenges.
• Keep informed and implement new methods and developments affecting the organization.
• May support PM as a technical leader on large, complex projects.
• Review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
• Assist leadership and staff as a technical advisor.
• Lead complex technical portions of meetings with clients.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
• Partner with business and teams to meet objectives.
• Perform other duties as requested.
