Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, seeks a Senior Architect I to lead architectural design across multiple disciplines for commercial and government facilities. You will mentor staff, participate in marketing and business development, and ensure design quality throughout design, documentation, and construction administration.

The role emphasizes client liaison, project leadership, and collaboration with project teams to deliver high-quality, integrated design solutions for complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform architectural design across all project stages.
• Lead complex projects independently.
• Meet with clients to validate scope of services
• Present projects to clients/contractors through all stages
• Manage architectural work within multi-discipline projects to meet budget and schedule
• Collaborate with PMs to execute project plans
• Coordinate with PM to supervise design and delivery
• Coordinate and supervise cross-discipline design integration
• Communicate with contractor on design-build system suitability
• Present technical/design solutions to clients
• Direct and supervise project architectural team
• Oversee bidding support services, addenda, bids
• Oversee construction phase support: field visits, RFIs, shop drawings
• Ensure QA/QC compliance
• Collaborate with leadership on project delivery
• Support marketing and BD activities
• Build client relationships
• Provide technical guidance
• Mentor architectural staff
• Assist in developing new processes/procedures
• Represent leadership when unavailable
• Lead staff training sessions
• Contribute to annual performance reviews
