MetLife is seeking a Principal Architect for Finance Modernization and ERP Transformation to lead the architecture for the Workday ERP implementation and related finance ecosystem changes. This role partners with Finance, ERP delivery teams, Enterprise Architecture, and Data & Analytics to define target-state architectures and implementation roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related technical field.
• 10+ years in enterprise application architecture.
• 5+ years as Principal/Lead Architect.
• 8+ years designing large ERP/Finance solutions.
• Deep understanding of finance processes (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets).
• Experience leading ERP transformation programs.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to evaluate AI opportunities within governed enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead architect for Finance Modernization and ERP Transformation (Workday).
• Define target-state architectures for Workday Financials and related platforms.
• Drive governance, standards, and architecture roadmaps across ERP workstreams.
• Translate strategic objectives into architecture plans with business leaders.
• Provide guidance on integration, security, data, and ecosystem integrations.
• Lead architecture design for Workday capabilities and data strategies.
• Establish API-based, event-driven and middleware integration standards.
• Collaborate with security, risk, compliance, and finance controls teams.
