Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group in Miami is seeking a Sr. Associate, Architectural and Design to manage architectural design for newbuild, revitalization, or refurbishment projects aboard ships.

You will lead cross‑disciplinary coordination with external firms, review drawings, and propose innovative design solutions. The role requires at least 5 years of design experience, a degree in Interior Design or Architecture, and travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years design industry experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years managing large scale projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design required, Architecture preferred.
• Cruise ship newbuild or revitalization design experience preferred.
• Graphic design background desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the design intent is apparent and credible, and that the voice of the Executive Steering Committee and Brand Think Tank is communicated clearly and consistently throughout the design process.
• Applies and ensures the brand & design standards, CADD & drawing standards, and contract references, assisting Supervisor with oversight that project materials are delivered on a timely basis.
• Coordinates with sponsors and cross-disciplinary teams to review drawings and proposals, and provide innovative design solutions.
• Assists with cost complexity balancing along with other cost control needs.
• Regularly attends meetings with sponsors (clients) and partners with external architectural, interior design and consultancy firms worldwide.
