AT&T is seeking a Principal System Engineer to architect and analyze large-scale distributed systems, guiding cloud-native migrations and API-driven platforms. The role demands leadership across multiple teams, technical depth in modern frontend/backend stacks, and a track record of delivering scalable enterprise solutions.

You will design end-to-end architectures, define standards, and mentor engineers while coordinating across product and engineering directors to align with business goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering and 7+ years progressively responsible experience.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems with cloud-native architectures and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and analyze large-scale distributed systems across software components.
• Lead architectural decisions and coordinate across engineering teams.
• Develop and migrate to cloud-native microservices and API-driven platforms.
• Ensure performance, scalability, reliability, security, and usability.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation and run design reviews.
