Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Enterprise Chief Architect, AWS Platform, to drive cloud strategy, standards, and modernization across large-scale AWS environments. You will mentor a team of 10–15 architects and partner with executives to shape risk-managed cloud programs.

The role blends hands-on design decisions with governance, security, and scalable architecture across on-premises and cloud integrations, with a remote-flexible work model within the US.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, and Enterprise Architecture experience.
• 8+ years of AWS architecture, cloud transformation, and technical leadership experience.
• Proven experience operating at the Principal Architect, Lead Architect, Chief Architect, or equivalent senior technical leadership level.
• Experience leading and developing teams of 10+ Architects within global delivery organizations.
• Strong executive presence with demonstrated success engaging C-level stakeholders, business executives, senior technology leaders, and Architecture Review Boards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for AWS Infrastructure Delivery and Cloud Transformation initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10–15 Cloud, Network, and Security Architects across onsite and offshore delivery teams.
• Establish enterprise architecture standards, governance frameworks, and reusable design patterns across AWS environments.
• Lead architecture reviews, validate solution designs, and guide strategic implementation decisions.
• Design and govern multi-account, multi-region AWS environments using AWS Organizations and shared services models.
• Drive IaC adoption with Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK; enable deployment governance and automation.
