Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Enterprise Chief Architect for the AWS Platform to shape cloud strategy, de-risk major investments, and establish architecture standards. You will lead a team of 10–15 architects across Cloud, Network, and Security, while staying hands-on in critical design decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, and Enterprise Architecture.
• 8+ years of AWS architecture, cloud transformation, and technical leadership.
• Proven experience at Principal/Lead/Chief Architect or equivalent senior role.
• Experience leading teams of 10+ architects in global delivery.
• Strong executive presence with C-level stakeholders and ARBs.
• Deep expertise across AWS Networking, Security, Governance, and Resilience.
• Hands-on designing enterprise-scale AWS networking (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53).
• Experience with IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK.
• Experience in cloud governance and multi-account/multi-region AWS environments.
• Proven track record in AWS modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Current AWS certification (SA, Advanced Networking, Security) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority for AWS Infrastructure Delivery and Cloud Transformation.
• Advise executive stakeholders and ARBs on cloud strategy, modernization, security, governance, risk decisions.
• Lead and mentor 10–15 architects across onsite and offshore delivery teams.
• Establish enterprise architecture standards, governance, and reusable patterns using AWS best practices.
• Lead architecture reviews, validate designs, resolve complex technical challenges.
• Architect and govern multi-account, multi-region AWS environments using AWS Organizations.
