Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Architect, Solution Engineering and Automation to design end-to-end architectures for complex PBM initiatives. You will build a technology incubation function, partner with business and IT leaders, and lead modernization across cloud-native applications.

You will align innovation with business goals, mentor teams, and drive automation frameworks using AI/ML and RPA while shaping a forward-looking technology roadmap and engaging with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in overall design/development, with cloud platform expertise
• Strong skills in Enterprise Architecture, Domain-Driven Design and microservices
• Experience with automation, observability, security and IT operations
• Knowledge of integration layers, streaming platforms (Kafka/Pulsar) and AI/ML tooling
• Proven ability to influence major technology decisions with leadership
• Experience automating complex processes and implementing RPA solutions (UiPath/Automation Anywhere)
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities to guide teams across large organizations

Responsibilities

• Provide technology leadership and solution oversight across PBM platforms
• Lead architecture modernization efforts and reference architectures for cloud-native apps
• Guide App Dev, Technology Services, and EA teams through design reviews
• Develop and maintain forward-looking tech roadmaps and innovation strategy
• Drive feasibility studies, PoCs, and demos for emerging technologies
• Collaborate with business and external partners to align tech with business goals
• Mentor junior architects and engineers and promote best practices
