Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Architect, Solution Engineering to design end-to-end architectures for high-impact PBM initiatives and to lead a small team of architects across multiple functions.

You will partner with business and IT stakeholders to drive modernization, ensure architectural alignment with guiding principles, and coach delivery teams through complex technical challenges while advancing innovation within the PBM domain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall design/development experience.
• In depth understanding of APIs and microservices-based architecture.
• Experience with technologies that glue modern apps to legacy infrastructure using streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
• Cloud platform knowledge with major public clouds including GCP, Azure and AWS.
• 2+ years hands-on AI/ML experience (including GenAI) and automating processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage small team of architects performing solution engineering for the PBM organization.
• Provide solution design and guidance to ensure adherence to PSS Architecture Guiding Principles and standards while maximizing reuse of technology assets.
• Actively lead and participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for PBM technology.
• Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to App Dev, Technology Services and Solutions.
• Lead and drive proofs-of-concept and technology deep-dives specific to partner technologies.
• Advise and assist App development teams with technical roadblocks such as performance challenges within a solution in key strategic initiatives.
