CVS Health is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to join our Consumer Experience and Analytics team. You will help build AI-powered, cloud-native solutions for personalized health information and support, shaping a scalable platform across product, data, and technology ecosystems.

You will lead architectural initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to deliver secure, high-performance software at scale in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Software Industry experience.
• 7+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale solution design and technical architecture initiatives.
• 7+ years' hands-on experience with modern technologies and frameworks including Java, Python, Node.js, Angular, and ReactJS.
• 7+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• 7+ years of experience designing cloud-native, microservices-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years of experience designing modern APIs and RESTful services.
• 5+ years of experience with micro-services architecture and RESTful APIs.
• 5+ years' experience designing and developing complex systems with disciplined approach.
• 5+ years of requirements analysis, estimation, design, and testing.
• 5+ years of demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
• 4+ years of experience managing technical, customer-facing applications.
• Proven ability to be self-directed and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Guide implementation of reference architecture solutions with best-in-class user experiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and lead POC initiatives.
• Develop well-engineered, flexible, resilient solutions delivered on schedule.
• Author white papers and technical documentation for the developer community.
• Collaborate across product, platform, developers, and DevOps teams.
• Champion user-centric design with emphasis on accessibility, privacy, and security.
