Job summary

UNICON International Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Architect 2 to join the onsite team in Columbus, OH.

The role focuses on extensive PeopleSoft GL/KK expertise and advanced development skills, including managing cross-module integration touchpoints across GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, and Travel & Expense. The candidate will lead functional design discussions, contribute to the journal lifecycle and budgeting processes, and provide on-call production support 24/7.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in PeopleSoft GL 9.2 and Commitment Control, including ledger configurations and budget structures.
• Advanced technical proficiency in PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cross-module integration: GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing and Travel & Expense.

Responsibilities

• Lead functional design discussions and technical solution walkthroughs.
• Provide production support including issue triage, defect resolution and incident management.
• Configure new Business Units, Chartfields, Trees, and perform ledger-related setup.

Job Title: Senior Architect 2/ SA2

Location: Columbus, OH

ON SITE 5x WEEK - Local candidates highly preferred

ON CALL 24/7

Position Overview

• Extensive expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2,specifically within General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK), includingdeep understanding of ledger configurations, budget structures, andtransactional processing frameworks
• This resource will work on the functional team; however, advanced technical proficiency in PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting is required
• Comprehensive knowledge of cross�?module integration points, including GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, and Travel & Expense with emphasis on interdependency workflows and integration touchpoints
• Experience with creating and entering Budget and GL Journals as well as Journal life cycle
• Experience configuring new Business Units, Combo edits, Chartfields, Trees, etc
• Experience with PeopleSoft architectures with external applications
• Experience working with PeopleSoft application engines
• Proficient using Application Designer
• Project management experience paired with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including leading functional design discussions and technical solution walkthroughs.
• Proficient at PS Query
• Knowledge with PeopleSoft tables and structures for research and analysts
• Experience with production support, including issue triage, defect resolution and incident management
• Comprehensive PeopleSoft lifecycle testing experience (i.e., vouchering, purchasing, GL journal posting, accounts receivable processing), including deep knowledge of test sequencing, data staging, and end�?to�?end business process validation
• Experience writing enhancement documentation which includes and not limited to requirements gathering, business analyst, configuration, identifying tables and code changes, test conditions, business risks, and alternative options
• Experience with a large Government enterprise solution is desired
• Must be on call 24/7
