Job summary

State of Ohio - OBM seeks a Senior PeopleSoft GL and KK Architect to lead complex GL and Commitment Control configurations within a government enterprise environment.

The role combines strong functional leadership with advanced PS development skills, cross‑module integration, and on‑call availability for production support and testing across modules such as GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, and Travel & Expense.

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2 with GL and KK focus.
• Advanced technical proficiency in PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting.
• Experience with cross-module integration (GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, T&E).

Responsibilities

• Lead functional design discussions and technical walkthroughs.
• Configure budgets, GL journals, and chart structures.
• Provide production support, triage, and incident management.
• Validate end-to-end business processes and lifecycle testing.

Job Duties:

• Extensive expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, specifically within General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK), including deep understanding of ledger configurations, budget structures, and transactional processing frameworks
• This resource will work on the functional team; however, advanced technical proficiency in PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting is required
• Comprehensive knowledge of cross-module integration points, including GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, and Travel & Expense with emphasis on interdependency workflows and integration touchpoints
• Experience with creating and entering Budget and GL Journals as well as Journal life cycle
• Experience configuring new Business Units, Combo edits, Chart fields, Trees, etc.
• Experience with PeopleSoft architectures with external applications
• Experience working with PeopleSoft application engines
• Proficient using Application Designer
• Project management experience paired with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including leading functional design discussions and technical solution walkthroughs.
• Proficient at PS Query
• Knowledge with PeopleSoft tables and structures for research and analysts
• Experience with production support, including issue triage, defect resolution and incident management
• Comprehensive PeopleSoft lifecycle testing experience (i.e., vouchering, purchasing, GL journal posting, accounts receivable processing), including deep knowledge of test sequencing, data staging, and end-to-end business process validation
• Experience writing enhancement documentation which includes and not limited to requirements gathering, business analyst, configuration, identifying tables and code changes, test conditions, business risks, and alternative options
• Experience with a large Government enterprise solution is desired
• Must be on call 24/7
