This is a unique opportunity for an experienced architectpassionate aboutprogramming, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development, and who wantsa more influential role in how projects are envisioned, planned, and developed.

Working directly with the company’s Founder and President, you will help shape significant multifamily, mixed-use, senior living, student housing, and medical office developments, with projects frequently valued between $80 million and $110 million.

Unlike a traditional Senior Project Architectrole, this position focuses primarily on thecreative, strategic front end of architecture rather than construction documentation. You’ll have the opportunity to explore design possibilities, influence major project decisions, and gain firsthand exposure to the real estate development process.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead programming, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development for large-scale real estate projects.
  • Evaluate development sites, explore design alternatives, and create innovative architectural concepts that respond to project goals.
  • Develop site plans, building concepts, massing studies, and 3D visualizations.

  • Work closely with development, planning, and outside architectural partners throughout the design process.
  • Contribute to discussions involving zoning, entitlements, site feasibility, and development strategy.
  • Utilize Revit, CAD, 3D modeling, AI, and emerging design technologies to accelerate concept exploration and communicate design intent.
  • Coordinate with outside architectural firms responsible for later-stage construction documentation.
What We’re Looking For

We seek a creative, technically knowledgeable, entrepreneurial architect who can think quickly, generate strong design ideas, and confidently communicate a vision.

Required Qualifications

  • Current architectural registration/licensure.

  • Experience designing multifamily and/or mixed-use developments.

  • Proficiency in Revit, CAD, and relevant architectural modeling and visualization software.
  • Familiarity with AI and emerging architectural technologies and an interest in incorporating them into the design process.
  • Understanding of how architectural design decisions influence density, project feasibility, and development objectives.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and evaluate multiple design concepts efficiently.

Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable

  • Senior living, assisted living, or independent living communities.
  • Student housing and high-density residential developments.
  • Medical office buildings.
  • Transit-oriented and mixed-use developments.
  • Zoning, entitlements, and land-use planning.
  • Real estate development, project feasibility, or development economics.
  • Large-scale projects with construction values of $50 million or more.

Beyond technical qualifications, we’re looking for someone who is curious, energetic, personable, and confident in their design abilities. The ideal candidate enjoys collaboration, embraces new technology, and is comfortable working directly with an entrepreneurial architect/developer.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

They offer an approach to architecture that extends well beyond the traditional design firm environment.

As a vertically integrated development, design, and planning organization, the company is involved in identifying development opportunities, evaluating sites, establishing architectural concepts, navigating entitlements, and working with development and capital partners to bring projects to life.

For the right architect, this creates an opportunity to:

  • Focus on design. Spend more time on the creative stages of architecture rather than the production of construction documents.
  • Influence projects from the beginning. Help determine what a project can and should become, rather than simply executing an established design program.
  • Work directly with leadership. Collaborate closely with an experienced architect and real estate developer on meaningful, large-scale projects.
  • Expand your professional expertise. Gain exposure to site selection, zoning, entitlements, project economics, financing, and real estate development.
  • Explore long-term growth opportunities. Become an integral part of a growing organization with the potential for additional financial participation in select development opportunities, subject to individual arrangements.
Compensation & Work Environment

Base Salary: $120,000–$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional long-term financial opportunities may be available through participation in development projects.

This is a full-time, in-office position within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. The company generally maintains a 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule, with flexibility based on project needs.
