Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary archaeological projects across the United States. You will guide teams, manage client relationships, and expand ERM's leadership in cultural resources through technical excellence and strong project delivery.

Successful candidates will have a graduate degree in Archaeology/Anthropology and 8+ years of experience, with a proven ability to obtain permits and deliver agency-reviewed reports.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field and 8+ years of related paid experience.
• Demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.
• Ability to obtain archaeological and cultural resource permits.
• Experience as primary author on agency-reviewed technical reports.
• Strong attention to detail in documentation of work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee archaeological studies and cultural resource projects from planning through completion.
• Provide technical consulting to growth of ERM's archaeology and cultural heritage business.
• Interact with ERM practice areas to share multidisciplinary resources.
• Represent ERM with state, federal, and local agencies.
• Communicate regularly with clients via email and phone conferences.
• Oversee and manage subcontractors.
• Assist with proposals to meet client needs.
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality.
