Job summary

ERM seeks a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary cultural resources projects across the United States. You will supervise field surveys, data recovery, reporting, and client engagement while mentoring teams.

The role blends technical leadership, project management, and business development, with travel across the country and collaboration within ERM's global organization. A strong publishing record and permitting know-how are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field plus 8+ years of related paid experience.
• Ability to obtain archaeological and cultural resource permits.
• Experience as primary author on agency-reviewed technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee archaeological studies and cultural resource projects from planning through completion.
• Provide technical consulting to support growth of ERM's archaeology and cultural heritage business.
• Interact with ERM practice areas to share multidisciplinary resources across the country.
• Represent ERM with state, federal, and local agencies.
• Lead, manage performance, hire and mentor personnel for the technical team.
• Capitalize on ERM client relationships to expand market share in Cultural Resources.
