Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Technical Consultant, Archaeologist to lead multidisciplinary cultural resource projects across the United States. You will oversee teams, guide projects from planning through completion, and develop client relationships to expand ERM’s presence in the cultural resources market.

The role combines technical leadership, project management, and business development. A graduate degree with extensive archaeology experience is required, and travel within the US is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Anthropology or Archaeology with 8+ years of paid experience.
• Ability to obtain archaeological permits.
• Experience with agency‑reviewed technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee literature review and field surveys.
• Lead and mentor archaeology staff and teams.
• Support business development and client growth.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and ERM practice areas.
• Manage projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
