Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. in California seeks an experienced Senior Archaeologist / Project Manager to lead our Cultural Resources Practice in the West.

This leadership role blends technical archaeology expertise with project management, client relations, and staff mentoring to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will oversee surveys, evaluations, testing, mitigation, and reporting for transportation, utilities, water, and energy sectors, mentor staff, develop business opportunities,

Qualifications

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a closely related field.
Meets the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for Archeology.
Registered Professional Archaeologist (RPA) or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Lead archaeological projects under CEQA, NEPA, Section 106 and related regs.
Manage multiple projects: scope, budget, schedule, staffing, client communications.
Mentor junior staff and support recruiting and performance development.
Develop client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
