AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Archaeologist/Project Manager to join the California Cultural Resources team in a hybrid capacity, with openings in Sacramento and Oakland. The role leads project implementation, manages field efforts, and supports business development for cultural resources in Northern California.

Responsibilities include authoring or reviewing technical documents, coordinating regulatory compliance, and mentoring staff while maintaining client relationships and project

Formación

• BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or a closely related field.
• 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in historical and/or precontact archaeology and cultural resources management.
• Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork throughout California.
• A valid driver’s license is required, and must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsabilidades

• Manage projects or tasks with field efforts (survey, testing, data recovery, monitoring) and schedules.
• Coordinate archival research, technical report writing, permitting, data collection, and GIS mapping.
• Serve as primary author or senior reviewer on projects.
• Supervise field, office, and laboratory personnel as needed.
• Engage with regulatory frameworks (CEQA, NEPA, NHPA) and tribal resources where applicable.
• Develop client relationships and manage communications and reporting.

Educación

BA/BS degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or a closely related field
