Job summary

AECOM is seeking experienced Senior Archaeologist/Project Manager to join our California Cultural Resources team. These are full-time, hybrid roles with openings in Sacramento and Oakland.

You will lead projects, manage field efforts, and drive client communication to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. Required BA/BS in Anthropology, Archaeology, or History, willingness to travel California, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, or related field.
• Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork throughout California.
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass MVR check.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Managing projects with field efforts and tight schedules.
• Overseeing archival research, report writing, and permitting.
• Author or senior reviewer on technical sections.
• Supervising field, office, and lab staff as needed.
• Client management including meetings and ongoing communication.
• Lead proposals, cost estimates, and forecast/project scheduling.
