Qualifications

• Highschool graduate or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-3 years healthcare preferred.
• 3+ years Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to maintain professionalism.
• Basic math for reimbursements and adjustments.
• Understanding of Medical terminology.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and ASA codes.
• Strong data entry and accuracy.
• Ability to work with staff, physicians, and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Contacts insurance companies for status on outstanding claims.
• Processes and follows up on appeals to insurance companies.
• Refiles claims as needed.
• Works correspondence daily.
• Maintains proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Audits adjustment requests and completes when appropriate.
• Resolves manual tasks for AR follow up.
• Works outstanding Accounts Receivable from queues.
• Meets productivity standards and 97% accuracy on audits.
• Identifies trends and communicates to leadership.
• Gathers data and reports with leadership.
• All other duties assigned.
