SMTC Corporation in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounts Receivable to provide strategic and operational leadership for the AR function, driving cash collection performance and robust receivables management across sites. The role collaborates with Finance, Treasury, Sales, and site leadership to strengthen cash flow while upholding internal controls and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive Accounts Receivable, credit and collections, or related finance experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of management experience leading Accounts Receivable, collections, credit, or related finance teams.
Manufacturing, EMS, contract manufacturing, or similar B2B environment experience preferred.
Experience with ERP and financial systems and implementing process automation or system improvements within Accounts Receivable.
Experience supporting SOX, financial audits, month-end close, reconciliations, and related financial controls.
Strong experience managing AR aging, collections performance, DSO, cash application, reconciliations, disputes, and customer financial risk.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for Accounts Receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, account reconciliation, dispute resolution, and customer account management.
Develop and execute AR and collections strategies to improve cash flow and reduce past-due receivables.
Establish and maintain AR policies, procedures, controls, escalation protocols, and performance standards to ensure consistent execution.
Monitor AR aging, collection performance, customer payment trends, credit exposure, disputes, and other indicators to identify financial risk and drive action.
Lead resolution of significant or complex customer account issues and escalations with stakeholders.
Provide regular reporting and insights on AR performance, cash collections, aging trends, and forecasts.
Partner with Treasury and Finance to support cash forecasting and month-end close requirements.
Collaborate with Program Management, Sales and site leadership to resolve billing, contractual, customer, or operational issues.
