Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Sr. Accounts Receivable professional to lead a team responsible for timely health insurance claims and revenue cycle management.

You will mentor AR staff, resolve complex claim issues, and ensure high standards of accuracy in a fast-paced medical billing environment. Ideal candidates will have seven plus years in AR follow-up, familiarity with medical billing software, and a credential like Certified Coding.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years Accounts Receivable follow up experience.
• Certified Coding Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing software.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Accounts Receivable representatives and proactively assists in the management their performance and development.
• Manage day-to-day problem-solving while serving as an expert on medical claim matters.
• Assist the A/R Manager with maintaining a properly functioning revenue cycle for third party A/R.
• Hire qualified team members and mentor productivity, morale and commitment.
• Research authorizations, work with providers, and manage pended claims promptly.
• Maintain a balance of health insurance claims with under 35 average days outstanding.
• Identify non-payment trends and report to Supervisor as needed.
• Prepare special claim projects with logs, file organization, and deadlines.
• Compose and prepare documentation for appeals.
• Process insurance carrier correspondence professionally and timely.
• Keep current on carriers' information and perform other duties as assigned.
