Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable & Franchise Accounting to own AR and billing policies across the enterprise, driving standardization and automation. You will lead accruals, month-end close, and franchise-related revenue accounting in accordance with U.S.

GAAP, partnering with operations, legal, and stakeholders. You will mentor the AR and franchise accounting team, oversee audits, and ensure robust internal controls while supporting strategic

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive accounting experience including Accounts Receivable/billing and franchise accounting
• 3+ years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls
• Experience managing month-end close, financial statement prep, balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with franchise, licensing, hospitality or multi-entity accounting
• Knowledge of CECL and revenue recognition; ERP systems like Workday

Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise’s Accounts Receivable and billing system policies, processes, and controls
• Drive centralization and standardization of AR/billing across the enterprise
• Oversee invoicing for franchise, licensing, management fee and other revenue streams
• Monitor customer balances and aging reports; manage collections and credit risk
• Lead accrual accounting and month-end close for fee- or billing-driven units
• Coordinate and oversee audits; ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition
• Lead and develop AR and franchise accounting team
• Identify opportunities to centralize, standardize, and automate AR/franchise accounting processes
