Model 1 Commercial Vehicles in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Accounts Payable Senior Clerk to maintain and manage our accounts payable information. Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager and Controller, you will review AP invoices, apply payments, and enter data into our accounting software.

This full-time position requires attention to detail, accuracy with numbers, and the ability to work independently while supporting the Accounting Department in month-end reconciliation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• Complete understanding of Accounts Receivable Cycle.
• Familiar with Accounts Receivable Aging and other Receivables Reports.
• Accurate with numbers.
• Extremely diligent in follow through and exhibits great initiative.
• Must have a sense of urgency.
• Detail oriented, highly organized and responsible.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional demeanor and cooperative attitude.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to work independently with little supervision required.
• Computer Skills (Microsoft Office); Accounting Software.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing AP Invoices
• Applying payments
• Accurate Data entry into Accounting software
• Resolve past due invoices while working with vendors
• Enforcement of Accounts Payable Internal Controls
• Basic A/P, A/R reconciliation
• Follow 3-way Matching process
• Review of other A/P clerks accounts for accuracy
• Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate
• Assist in training other employees
• Assisting accounting department in month end reconciliation
• Interact with other employees and vendors to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Filing
• Other duties as assigned
