Job summary

Budderfly, a fast-growing energy management company, seeks a Senior AR & Collections Specialist to manage a high-volume commercial AR portfolio and drive timely cash collections. You will resolve billing disputes, reconcile accounts, and work with Treasury and other teams to improve cash flow in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes proactive collections, strong communication, and customer-focused problem solving in a high-growth setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive commercial accounts receivable and collections experience.
• Experience managing high-volume B2B collections and customer accounts.
• Strong experience with account reconciliations, billing disputes, deductions, and cash application.
• Experience in utility, energy services, or recurring revenue environments preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of commercial AR, overseeing collections, aging, reconciliations and disputes.
• Execute collection strategies, negotiate payment arrangements to maximize cash flow.
• Conduct high-volume B2B collections via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Reconcile accounts, research short payments and unapplied cash, process adjustments and refunds.
• Investigate variances in utility billing and recurring revenue, and resolve invoice disputes.
• Support daily cash application and collaborate with Treasury to resolve issues.
• Prepare aging reports, identify collection risks, and assist with month-end close.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Billing, Customer Success, Sales, Operations, Legal, FP&A, and Accounting to improve cash flow.
