Job summary

The YMCA of South Florida is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator responsible for maintaining safety and pool conditions, supervising lifeguards, and assisting with budget and program development at our South Florida facilities. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to water safety.

Ideal candidates will have relevant aquatic certifications, experience managing staff, and bilingual abilities in English and Spanish, with a focus on high-quality customer service

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and relevant aquatic certifications.
• Experience supervising lifeguards and aquatic staff preferred.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Basic First Aid certifications required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises lifeguards and manages aquatic staff on pool deck.
• Maintains pool, deck, and surrounding area safety and cleanliness.
• Trains staff on accident prevention, safety checks, and emergency procedures.
• Manages department budget in collaboration with Aquatics Director.
• Coordinates swim lessons and development of new programs.
