Job summary

Waukesha County is seeking an Applications and Solutions Developer to design, develop, configure, integrate, and support technology solutions that improve county operations.

You will translate business requirements into secure, maintainable technical solutions using custom development, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, workflows, and APIs, while delivering reliable solutions and collaborating with county departments and IT teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in technology operations, applications and systems analysis, support, or development.
• Post high school education may substitute part of the work experience per policy.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, documents, analyzes, and validates business requirements.
• Translates requirements into functional and technical designs.
• Evaluates requirements against multiple solution approaches (custom development, low-code, SharePoint, integrations).
• Designs, develops, configures, tests, deploys, and maintains custom applications, workflows, and integrations.
• Supports County public websites, CMSs, and related content management systems.
• Configures and supports SharePoint-based solutions and Microsoft 365 services for collaboration and workflow automation.
• Develops, consumes, documents, and troubleshoots APIs and data integrations.
• Provides technical support for applications, servers, and integrations; assists with escalations.
• Coordinates with IT teams on infrastructure, security, records, and networking needs.
• Documents designs, support procedures, and user instructions.
