Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to build production ML systems that solve complex business problems at scale. You will design, develop, and deploy ML solutions impacting millions of users and guiding strategic decisions across the organization.

You will work on predictive modeling, NLP, recommendations, and generative AI, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into rigorous technical solutions.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 6+ years of applied research experience
• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy large-scale ML systems in production environments
• Develop ML solutions using deep learning, NLP, and generative AI
• Personalize manager onboarding and development experiences, and measure effectiveness
• Build causal inference models and experimental frameworks to measure impact
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leaders to define technical roadmaps
• Communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences including senior leadership
