Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to design, develop, and deploy production ML systems that scale across the business and impact millions of users. You will work on predictive modeling, NLP, recommendation systems, and generative AI with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into rigorous technical solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers, engineers, and leadership to define roadmaps and measure impact using robust experimentation and evaluation

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's with 4+ years CS/ML experience.
• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• Experience publishing in top-tier conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy large-scale machine learning systems in production environments.
• Develop ML solutions using deep learning, NLP, and generative AI.
• Personalize manager onboarding and development experiences with learning pathways.
• Build causal inference models and experimental frameworks to measure impact.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leaders to define technical roadmaps.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
