Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Applied Scientist to design, develop, and deploy production ML systems at scale, impacting millions of users. You will work on predictive modeling, NLP, recommendations, and generative AI while partnering with cross-functional teams to translate business challenges into robust technical solutions.

You will drive projects from concept to deployment, collaborating with PMs, engineers, and executives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications
• PhD or Master’s with 4+ years in CS/CE/ML or related field
• Experience with patents or publications at top-tier conferences/journals
• Proficiency programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy large-scale machine learning systems in production environments
• Develop ML solutions using deep learning, NLP, and generative AI
• Personalize manager onboarding and development experiences by identifying capability gaps and recommending learning paths
• Build causal inference models and experimental frameworks to measure impact
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and leaders to define technical roadmaps
• Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including leadership
