Job summary

Launch Potato in Costa Rica is seeking a senior data scientist to own the full data science engine for a priority vertical, from problem framing to deployed model and live ROAS performance. This is a hands-on role with deep data work and close collaboration with stakeholders.

You will begin with Insurance and Advertiser Quality, delivering end-to-end modeling, validated outputs, and measurable ROAS improvements, while partnering with ML engineers for deployment and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or leadgen
• Experience building adtech algorithms and supporting user acquisition or paid media modeling
• Strong modeling fundamentals and ability to drive business impact
• Multi-year, hands-on experience building and deploying ML solutions in AWS cloud
• Hands-on experience across multi-armed bandit, reinforcement learning, recommendation/ranking systems, funnel and monetization optimization, LTV modeling
• Expert Python and SQL

Responsibilities

• Own the data science engine for a priority vertical from problem to deployed model and live ROAS performance
• This is a hands-on role heavily immersed in data and modeling with stakeholder collaboration
• Start focusing on Insurance and Advertiser Quality, with ROAS as the primary metric
• End-to-end modeling for Insurance vertical with measurable ROAS impact
• Deliver buying models that maintain positive ROAS and quality
• Improve lead quality across brands and drive revenue growth
• Establish trusted partnerships with vertical business stakeholders
• Produce validated, documented outputs with low correction burden
• Identify new modeling opportunities the business has not flagged
