Launch Potato is seeking a senior data scientist to own the models determining carrier matching for our insurance marketplace. You will frame problems with the business, locate data, build and validate models, and see them through deployment and monitoring. An ML engineer supports production work, with initial focus on auto insurance and potential expansion.

We are remote-first, with East Coast hours. You will influence bidding strategies, handle sparse data and drift, and drive measurable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on applied data science with measurable business impact.
• Models that drive paid media decisions: spend, bidding or ad serving.
• End-to-end ownership: data discovery, model building, deployment and monitoring.
• Expert Python and SQL.
• Understand training data, late labels, drift and data quality issues.

Responsabilités

• Build and validate models for carrier matching in the insurance marketplace.
• Own data pipelines and production deployment.
• Collaborate with the ML engineer on production aspects.
• Frame business problems and identify data sources independently.
• Over time, expand to additional verticals based on business needs.
