As an Applied Engineer at Pavo, you will own the agent system end-to-end, from architecture to deployment, working with senior researchers and engineers to ship dependable production systems at the edge of current agentic frameworks. This senior IC role emphasizes ownership and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building and operating production systems end-to-end.
• Shipped production Python systems with strong testing.
• Hands-on with agentic frameworks like Anthropic/OpenAI/ equivalents.
• Deep understanding of agent architecture and deployment pipelines.
• Experience designing reliable ML/LLM systems and idempotent tooling.
• Ability to distinguish deterministic tools from prompts.

Responsibilities

• Own the agent system end-to-end from architecture to production.
• Design deployment pipelines, observability, and reliability gates.
• Collaborate with Applied Scientist on instrumentation and data feedback loops.
• Drive deterministic tooling and reusable components where possible.
• Improve system reliability and reduce run-to-run variance.
