Saint-Gobain Innovation North America in Northborough, MA is seeking a hands-on Senior Applied AI Engineer to turn R&D and industrial challenges into production-ready AI and digital solutions. This onsite role spans framing problems to deploying AI/ML and generative AI systems adopted by teams.

You will design architectures, build reliable software and data components, and integrate enterprise solutions with IT, MLOps, cybersecurity, and platform teams, with emphasis on responsible AI,

Qualifications

• Hands-on production software, data, AI/ML, analytics, automation, or generative AI in industrial or enterprise settings.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals with APIs and data pipelines.
• Experience delivering LLM/AI systems with RAG, vector search, and orchestration.
• Ability to translate requirements into architectures, plans, and adoption strategies.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Frame high-value problems with domain experts and translate needs into technical requirements.
• Design architectures and deliver production AI/ML, data, and software components.
• Build, test, deploy, and support solutions in enterprise environments with governance.
• Develop generative AI systems using RAG, vector search, and orchestration patterns.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with IT, security, and platform teams.
