Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior/Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Applied AI on our Cortex AI team. You will own the end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI programs, leading a small team while remaining deeply technical and hands-on.

You will define success metrics, mentor engineers, and deliver architecture, deployment, monitoring, and optimization of AI solutions for strategic customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading technical projects or teams.
• Hands-on with LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of enterprise AI engagements from scoping to deployment.
• Define quality metrics and evaluation frameworks for AI engagements.
• Mentor a team of Applied AI Engineers and review designs.
• Design, iterate, and ship ML pipelines and agentic AI solutions.
• Produce scalable production AI solutions with safety guardrails.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape Snowflake's AI platform.
• Travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time.
